Prom is Fast Approaching

By: Staff Writer

It’s that time of year when students come together and spend money on clothes that they will only wear once… It’s PROM! The Prom Planning Committee is led by Junior Class Sponsor Natalie Updike. She and the ten juniors comprising the committee, of which I am a member, have worked tirelessly to make sure everyone has a memorable experience, especially after two years of limitations due to COVID. The theme this year is Enchanted Forest, and the committee has spent hours assembling party favors, discussing decoration layout, and flipping through magazines to look for ideas about how to create a beautiful, picturesque spot at the venue, NOVA 535. Of course, this wonderful extravaganza has food from a professional catering company (including a dessert bar), a DJ, a photo booth, and much more. There are plenty of choices for all!

The attire is formal, so actually dress up, please. For all the people who have a date, here are some rules that must be followed:

  1. A freshman or sophomore may be your date (good luck underclassmen), and yes, they must also purchase a ticket.
  2. If your date is from outside of school, they must fill out a permission slip (found on the website below) and hand it in to Ms. Morlando by March 25th at noon. If not, your date will be banished from the forest.

The tickets are $95 per person, which is reasonable considering all that it includes (not to mention current inflation). Purchase your tickets now! You have until Thursday, March 24th at 5:00 PM! You cannot purchase tickets at the door. Parking will be available at the venue, and for details on that go to the Prom website, linked below. All forms and other information can be found on the Prom page:
