Who are we?
The Shorecrest Career Club is a student run club focused on exploring various career paths and the twists and turns that professionals have taken as they pursue challenges and find success. The Career Club Podcast is a part of the Ross Roeder Institute and features student-led interviews with inspirational leaders and groundbreaking individuals who inspire us to continue learning and growing every day.
Ross Roeder Institute for Financial Literacy, Economics and Entrepreneurship
Launched in the fall of the 2023-2024 school year, The Ross Roeder Institute for Financial Literacy, Economics & Entrepreneurship offers enhanced curricular and co-curricular programming in the Shorecrest 9th-12th grade Upper School and integrated RRI experiences across the campus. The RRI was made possible through the generosity of donors Jan & Craig Sher, and Mary Anne Reilly who together contributed $1 million in early 2023 to launch the program. The RRI endowed gift is the largest gift of its kind in Shorecrest school history. The initial funding for RRI also established a historic first-ever Faculty Chair at Shorecrest, a full-time faculty member to lead and grow the program. The vision is to have a comprehensive, schoolwide financial literacy, economics and entrepreneurship curriculum that is the model for independent schools across the country.
Purpose
The purpose of the Career Club Podcast is to inspire you. You may find inspiration in the grittiness of our speakers or you may find inspiration in the pathway that someone took. You may see a creative way to achieve your goals or a dose of reality that fires you up to reach further. The goal is to listen, learn and walk away with an eye toward your future.
