Dog of the Year

By: Nadya DeFreitas

So for the first time in all of Dog of the Month History there has been a tie for the winner of Dog of the Year… Our 2019-2020 “Dogs of the Year ” are….

Rufus
Tucker

Rufus and Tucker!!

Rufus is a 13-year-old Westie who has been fighting Lymphoma and going through chemotherapy since October. He actually just finished CHEMO!!!! WE ARE SO PROUD OF HIM! He kept his spirits up even while losing most of his fur, and he is the happiest dog ever. He is super sweet and all the vets love him! He enjoys car rides, long walks on the beach, squeaky toys, and scrambled eggs.

And Tucker is…

an adorable 5-month-old French Bulldog who loves to eat and hates to go to the bathroom outside. He sadly has a hernia but we at the Chronicle hope he gets the help he needs:)

Congratulations to our “Dogs of the Year!”

Thank you so much to everyone who voted and/or submitted pictures of your dog for submission. This was a new segment we were trying at the Chronicle and we will definitely be bringing it back next year.
