This letter is in response to: Best in the Crest: Bathrooms and Letter to the Editor: Bathrooms
Dear Chronicle Editors,
This letter is in response to the Letter to the Editor from Charlie C. about the Best in the Crest Bathrooms. The writer, a senior, implies that the locker room bathroom during the school day is a favorite spot. While I can appreciate a quiet space, I would like to point out that locker rooms are considered off-limits spaces for students during unscheduled periods. Page 50 of the Family Handbook outlines a variety of spaces that are considered off-limits to Upper School students. The Gym and locker rooms are restricted spaces unless scheduled for Health/Fitness class! Further, the Handbook outlines that any students found in an area other than those that have been designated will be subject to disciplinary action. I hope your Chronicle readers will keep that in mind when exploring their favorite bathrooms on campus.
All the best,
Dean Alexander

Sorry about the miscommunication! When I said day I meant after 3:30 pm… obviously!! Page 50 of the Family Handbook is actually one of my personal favourites. I have a firm belief that no one should go to the school gym or any of the other restricted spaces during the day. What if they got lost?!
My favourite pages of the handbook, however, are pages 62-64. As a member of the Student Dress Code Committee, there is nothing that infuriates me more than cotton shorts and bra straps. I was ecstatic when we announced the new dress code. So although there was this small miscommunication about me going during the school day—how silly!—I am so happy that we agree on the amazing and extremely important rules our school has put in place.
