Smiles in their faces,
Solemn despair
Their eyes behold their true nature.
Magically we speak
Rhythmically we walk
We run
Hauntingly we think
Purposed with devastating imagination
Overflowing at birth
Lost by the end.
“We used to be so creative,”
Spoken as they rush my crippling body
Three meters down
Never to speak,
They destroy me.
Rip through my veins,
Burn through my bones,
The creativity
Lost for a moment
Though always there,
Through the stars
The grass
The concrete walked,
Liquidated in the air
For someone else to breath
To reimagine,
Until they too,
Are rushed
3 meters down
Into the grass
Forgotten and destroyed
Consumed by the world,
We call our home.

![JV boys soccer goalie sophomore Bear Brummett does a goal kick. Normally, Brummett plays defense, but when starting goalie sophomore Kurt Schratweiser missed a match due to illness, Brummett was thrust into the role. “[Brummett] did a great job, especially considering he hadn’t played the position in so long,” Head Coach Casey McDonough said.](https://spschronicle.org/wp-content/uploads/2026/01/image2-1200x800.jpg)
