Where does creativity begin? How do you start the process of being inspired? With the onset of AI and its advancement, lines are being blurred in the creative process as humans incorpate AI into their everyday lives, including art.
In this video, the Chronicle dives deeper into the creative process and the effect that AI will have on the artistic approach. Listen to Shorecrest Preparatory students and educatorss in St. Petersburg, FL discuss their opinions on art and the creative process vs Artificial Intelligence. Is art only created by humans or is there a place for AI in creative work generated by humans? Educators focus on how AI can’t generate true human feelings and how the use of AI will eliminate human passion by removing mistakes.
There is a debate on the benefit or harm of AI in the creative world. Can we actually draw a benefit from AI in the creative process whether it helps paint a picture or write the ending to a story or inspire a poem of love or betrayal? Does AI get the creative juices flowing or does it inhibit the human process of truly being an artist?
We all draw on our experiences to learn during our lifetime. Those experiences come from living life, at home with your family, at school in the classroom, on a field or a court, a stage or an arena, life is to be lived, to be felt, to be expressed in words, songs, and paintings. How can AI enhance that or compete with the smell of the air after a rainfall, the sound of a baby’s first cry, laughter, listening to our favorite artist, seeing the colors of a rainbow or viewing Dali or Picasso?
Listen to the points and decide for yourself.
